State award given to Mankato Police Officer Tiffany Blaschko

Officer Tiffany Blaschko of the Mankato Department of Public Safety was presented with an award for being one of Minnesota's Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) All Stars. A DWI All Star is an officer in Minnesota recognized for their committed and aggressive enforcement of our impaired driving laws. "Officer Blaschko is dedicated and focused on making our streets safer for us all," said Matt Westermayer, Deputy Director of Public Safety.

Individual arrested after reported assault

At 3:40 a.m., Friday, police officers responded to a reported assault at a residence in the 1900 block of 7th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located the victim who sustained a head injury during the assault. The victim was treated at the scene, transported to Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital-Mayo Health System by Gold Cross Ambulance and later air lifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Victory Drive

Victory Drive between Madison Avenue and Adams Street will remain closed for reconstruction and the final phase of the Victory Drive Project. Drivers should expect this portion of Victory Drive to be closed until fall, with a detour route on Adams Street east to Raintree Road and then South to Madison Avenue.

    Mondays at 7:45 p.m., Tuesdays at 10:50 p.m., Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m., Thursdays at 9:45 a.m., Fridays at 10:50 a.m., Saturdays at 12:45 p.m. and Sundays at 2:25 p.m.
Channel 21:
    Mondays at 9:50 a.m., Tuesdays at 2 p.m., Wednesdays at 5:01 p.m., Thursdays at 12:15 p.m., Fridays at 6:30 p.m., Saturdays at 8:50 a.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m.
