Strategic Plan
This document represents opportunities and strategic focus for Mankato and is Mankato's portion of the formula for the Envision 2020 area-wide strategic planning process.
The Process--
Mankato's strategic planning process started by conducting a validated survey of its citizens to gather ideas and priorities. Next, several interviews were conducted with organizations and businesses to define pressing issues and strategic initiatives within the community. City staff was also surveyed. The Mankato City Council reviewed all results which ultimately determined Mankato's Strategic Plan.
The Mankato organization is committed to community wide visioning with area partners to help accomplish mutually beneficial goals within our resources. We will strive to effectively and efficiently develop and strengthen the quality of all facets within the community and the commitment of a city that is a great place to live, work and play.
