City Center Renaissance Stakeholder Task Force

This committee’s objects include reviewing the draft plan and gathering input about the City Center Renaissance Plan. To emphasize the importance of community stakeholders in the process, the Task Force will host community input forums. The Task Force will meet bi-weekly through January to address the following key planning principles/practices of the City Center:

• Vision, Land Use and Redevelopment Opportunities.
• Physical Environment, Transportation and Facilities.
• Neighborhood Preservation and Design; and
• Organization and Financing.
  

Cultural, Arts and Community Enhancement Committee

This committee’s objectives include determining:

• The feasibility of establishing a Cultural, Art, and Community Enhancement District that is consistent with Mankato’s City Center Renaissance policy.
• The program structure of the district and the relationship between district participants and the City.
• The economic value/impact and greater public purpose of a Cultural, Art, and Community Enhancement District.
