Youth Voice in Local Government: City of North Mankato

Board of Review: Appointed by the North Mankato City Council, advisory to the North Mankato City Council. The primary function of the Board of Review is to accept inquiries from property owners regarding the Assessor's dollar value that has been assigned to their property for the purpose of taxation. The Board of Review makes recommendations to the Nicollet County Board of Review regarding potential adjustments in Assessor's value of each person's property.
Traffic and Safety: Appointed by the North Mankato City Council, advisory to the North Mankato City Council: The primary function of the Traffic and Safety Committee is to make recommendations to the City Council regarding traffic and safety issues including: traffic patterns, street signs, speed limits and crosswalks.
All Seasons Arena: Appointed by the North Mankato City Council, advisory to the North Mankato City Council: The primary function of the All Seasons Arena Committee (made up of the funding units) is to determine the operating budget and policy making concerning All Seasons Arena.
