Youth Voice in Local Government: Nicollet County

Extension Committee: Appointed by the Nicollet County Commissioners, advisory to the Nicollet County Commissioners. The Extension Committee reviews extension programs. The Extension Program is an informal educational outreach program of the University of Minnesota in partnership with Nicollet County. Some of the audiences include farm families, businesses, youth (4-H and others), consumers, limited resource families, and gardeners.
Nicollet County Health Advisory Board: Appointed by the Nicollet County Commissioners, advisory to the Nicollet County Commissioners. The Nicollet County Health Advisory Board gives recommendations on public Health efforts in the county i.e. nursing, health education, school health, communicable diseases, etc.
Park Board: Appointed by the Nicollet County Commissioners, advisory to the Nicollet County Commissioners. Work with youth from local saddle clubs to fix up parking area for horse trailers and hitching posts. Anyone interested in outdoor activity or parks is encouraged to apply for this committee.
