Shelly Schulz has 30 years of local government experience having worked for the City of Mankato, Mankato Area Public Schools and Blue Earth County. The City of Mankato and Mankato Area Public Schools partner in public information to avoid duplication, share costs, to solve problems common to both organizations, to promote together the value of education and city services and to become more efficient by being better informed about each other's issues.  Schulz works with staff to communicate city and school messages through a variety of methods. 

She has a degree in business administration with concentrations in marketing and industrial relations from Minnesota State University, Mankato;  and serves on the Board of Directors for the City, County, Communications Marketing Association (3CMA), Washington, D.C.
