Doug Storm has served the City of Mankato and its residents since 1989. Storm is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing new technology solutions. Storm works closely with the Information Technology staff to provide internal support of existing systems and training for City departments. Storm also oversees the Community Access Center, which is made available to Mankato citizens and visitors.
Prior to joining the City of Mankato, Storm worked at Midcontinent Corporation as a computer operator. Storm earned his associate of applied science degree in computer programming from South Central College, North Mankato.
Application Development Team
The application development team works closely with each department to provide software application solutions and support multiple existing “in-house’ written applications.

Linda coordinates application development projects and integration to existing systems. Linda also administers the IBM iSeries. Linda has a degree in computer programming from St. Cloud Technical College.

Geographic Information System Team
Kurt Klinder GIS Coordinator Email: kklinder@city.mankato.mn.us Phone: 507-387-8686 Fax: 507-387-8642 Kurt is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of an integrated Geographic Information System (GIS). Kurt also manages the City’s GIS system, databases, and related applications for all City Departments. Kurt has a degree in geography and a minor in geology from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Network Operations Team
The network operations team is responsible for supporting the City’s network, security, servers, PC’s, and all other technology equipment utilized by City staff.

Chris administers the City's network, security and coordinates system upgrades for servers and PC's. She also provides support for technology equipment and coordinates end-user training for all city departments. Chris has an associate's degree as an office systems specialist.

Jason provides technology equipment support and manages desktop and cellular phones. Jason also is a licensed "Power Limited Technician" with the Minnesota Board of Electricity.
