Mankato Department of Public Safety

The Mankato Department of Public Safety operates under a single administration to manage police and fire staff. The combination of full-time and part-time members enables Mankato to provide high-quality, cost-effective public safety services to the community. The City of Mankato Public Safety Communication Center uses an enhanced 911 telephone system. Dial 911 to report any emergency or non-emergency situation to police or fire personnel.

Prevention and cooperation are key to maintaining a safe community. Police officers and firefighters update their skills through ongoing training and work closely with the public to keep Mankato safe.
