Developing video hot spots

Mankato "hot spots" are a new communication tool that is being used on Mankato's Website, cable public access television channel 12 or 10, and linked for replay in Mankato's monthly online newsletter.

311 scripts

Public information staff is researching information and writing scripts for Mankato's new 311 24-hour information telephone line.  Have a burning building?  Call 911.  Have a burning question?  Call 311.  Call 311 Mankato is expected to be launched in 2009.

Mankato's 24-hour customer service information line, designed to answer frequently asked questions about city services, will remain at 387-8555 and coincide with Call 311 Mankato.

Mankato’s annual photo contest

Mankato’s annual photo contest has grown to more than 400 entries. Twelve photos, selected by a professional photographer, are included in Mankato’s calendar, which features public meeting dates and locations, contact information, 24-hour service numbers and important key city service messages.

Entries are accepted anytime via email or by sending them to the City of Mankato's Public Information Office. Download an entry form.
