Software Applications Detail
Information Technology has a development team of three programmers. The programmers work closely with each department to provide software application solutions and support multiple existing in-house written applications. Along with support and integration to purchased software applications. The development team also develops and supports all web applications on the Internet and Intranet Servers.
Network and Equipment Detail
Information Technology has a network team of three Network Technicians. The technicians configure and support all technology equipment residing on Citys local area network (LAN), consisting of more than 250 personal computers, multiple application servers, a high-end enterprise security camera system hosting more than 70 digital surveillance cameras around Mankato. In addtion, they manage a robust wide area network (WAN) connecting 15 remote locations across town, and a high-speed wireless wide area network (WWAN) connecting City officials in vehicles.
